Hi, and thank you for your reservation with HISTORIC GHOST TOURS OF NAPERVILLE! I invite you to print out this handy page and take it along for quick reference when you dearly depart for your ghost tour.
We leave promptly at your appointed time from outside the Garden Patio entrance of QUIGLEY'S IRISH PUB, 43 E. Jefferson Ave. With its resident ghost, Quigley's is the perfect place to get in the mood for ghost stories over a dinner and a pint before or after the tour. Quigley's is kid-friendly until 9:00 PM, and their Garden Patio is dog-friendly anytime.
***FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS***
HOW LONG IS THE GHOST TOUR? The Naperville walking tour runs about two hours at a leisurely pace, and is approximately ten blocks. The entire route is level, with no slopes, hills or stairs, and is handicapped /wheelchair- and stroller-accessible.
CAN I TAKE PHOTOS? Yes, we encourage you to bring a camera or camcorder, though video and audio recording of the tour guide's stories is not allowed due to copyright issues.
WHAT'S THIS ABOUT EMF GHOST METERS? EMF Ghost Meters are handed out for your free use at the start of every tour for some fascinating, interactive fun! We usually have enough for everyone, though with large groups we may ask you to share. We cannot guarantee that we'll spook up any ghosts on the tour, but we have had unexplainable EMF activity on past tours! Any unexplained activity is not generated by the tour guide or tour company in any way. Nothing is rigged.
WHERE CAN I PARK? There's a parking garage across the street from Quigley's Irish Pub; a row of street parking in Central Park at the back of the building; and the US Bank parking lot just west of Quigley's. Downtown Naperville is usually very crowded on weekends, so please plan to arrive early to find a parking space. All parking is FREE in Naperville!
WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD? A little rain only adds to the spooky atmosphere, so we urge you to bring an umbrella. However, if serious storms are predicted we will contact you before 5:30 PM that day to reschedule. You'll be outside for two hours, so please dress appropriately for the season, wear comfortable, warm walking shoes, and bring a jacket just in case.
MAY I TIP THE TOUR GUIDE? Gratuities to your Ghost Host are always welcome, though entirely optional.
WHAT IF WE'RE RUNNING LATE FOR THE TOUR? If you must contact us at the last minute—for example, if you're running more than 5 minutes late, or if your party must cancel an hour beforehand due to an emergency—please let us know immediately by calling the Haunted Hotline at 630-212-0707. We greatly appreciate you letting us know so we don't have to worry that you're lying in a ditch somewhere.
CAN I BUY THE "HAUNTED NAPERVILLE" OR "HAUNTED AURORA" BOOKS AT THE TOUR? Your tour guide will have copies of my books, "HAUNTED NAPERVILLE" (Arcadia Publishing) available for purchase for $25...and "HAUNTED AURORA" (The History Press) for $20. Pay no tax or shipping charges! Cash and personal checks only. We'll even hold your purchase for you while you enjoy your tour. A great gift for yourself and someone special!
